GETTING SACRAMENTALS BLESSED
This article contains a general overview of the Roman Ritual and an encouragement for getting water, salt, oil, and candles blessed. With that in mind, this article also contains the Latin/English text for those blessings, in case a priest does not yet have the Roman Ritual
Though we have the great benefits of the Holy Eucharist and Confession, we are still weak and often stung by the darts of the Enemy in this pilgrimage toward Heaven. This is a reflection on the proper dispositions we must have to fully enjoy the graces from the Sacraments, and how the sacramentals aid in that disposition.
Candles can be blessed on Candlemas and on any day of the year, with two unique blessings, depending on the day, each containing the same power, from God, to deliver us from the many connivings of the Enemy.

- ASH WEDNESDAY - FEBRUARY 17TH!
- *COMING SOON*
- CANDLEMAS ON FEBRUARY 2ND!
- There is a special blessing at Mass on this day for candles. The blessing in the Extraordinary Form is quite different than the blessing in the modern rite.
- Candlemas is a specific day and cannot be transferred
- If you cannot make it to this Mass, ask your priest to bless your candles on a Sunday.
- He can use a different blessing which is also beautiful and powerful.
- You may bring any candles to be blessed - they do not have to be beeswax.
